å Read Å Keith Johnstone: A Critical Biography (English Edition) eBook: Theresa Robbins Dudeck: Amazon.fr: Amazon Media EUS.à r.l. by Theresa Robbins Dudeck é First of all, I am a student of Mr Johnstone and his work This biography illuminates the origins of the body of work that has become Impro, Theatresports and all of this particular branch of theatrical improvisation I found it inspiring.
Loved this book, as an improviser performer who has read Keith s books, it was terrific to read about the man himself from somebody who obviously has fostered a close relationship with him and seems to have a genuine passion for improv too I thought it was very well written too, very meaty tons of footnotes and opportunities for further investigation if one chose to pursue them but the author writes in a very accessible way.
Hugely recommend to anybody interested in performing, acting, writing, playwriting and or improvisation.
If you ve read Keith Johnstone s books, played of of his world famous impro formats or simply had the pleasure to be taught by him, this biography answers all the questions you d like to ask Keith himself.
And, if you haven t done any of the above, you ll seek the opportunity to do it as fast as possible.
